Torrent has more active users than YouTube and Facebook combined , but what is torrent?

 If we say Torrent, the downloaders will exactly know what we mean.

The good thing with torrent is that if your are downloading a file and the PC goes off, the next time you switch your PC on , you won't start again , it will continue at the point it was on!hat is torrent?

I saw it while downloading MAC OPERATING SYSTEM , it has 4.5 GB but , i downloaded it slowly continously , it took like 2 weeks because when you start a PC , torrent start it self automatically. 
the latest versions of u-torrent includes even players.
